PRIEST IN CHARGE

Rev. Shancia Ingram is a dedicated minister born in Jamaica, West Indies, to Coleen Jarrett, an elementary school teacher, and George Jarrett, a cheerful prosthodontist. She was educated elementary to graduate school in the New York and New England area. She is married to Johmer Ingram, an electrician who supports her ministry. She draws deep inspiration from her family's faith and the humorous wisdom of teenage niece, stepson, and siblings.

From an early age, her love for the church and desire to help others were evident, shaping her vocation and enriching Her theological curiosity was sparked by a lifelong quest to understand God, seeking the Divine through nature and social interactions. Rev. Ingram firmly believes that liturgy and faith can have a transformative impact on communities, irrespective of their demographics. She emphasizes that as long as there is a willingness to love and to accept love, there will always be space for Jesus’ Gospel.

An accomplished housing scholar, Rev. Ingram graduated from Yale Divinity School, where she earned a Master of Divinity, a Master of Sacred Theology, and a Diploma of Anglican Studies from Berkeley Divinity School. Her professional journey includes serving in the Dioceses of Connecticut as a curate and playing a pivotal role as the Canon for Formation at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in the Diocese of Maryland. Rev. Ingram continues to exemplify her commitment to ministry and community service, promoting the message of love and inclusivity throughout her work.
